Our story
A school that grew with the families it serves
We started in 2058 BS at Kamerotar, Madhyapur Thimi-6, in Bhaktapur. In the early years we ran the primary classes only. Parents asked us not to send their children elsewhere after Grade 5, so we added the secondary classes, and later the plus two level.
That is how the school has grown at every stage. Not from a business plan, but from parents telling us what their children needed next. Twenty five years later a child can join us in Nursery and walk out of the same gate with a plus two certificate.
Along the way we became an 'A' (Ka) grade certified school, fitted smart boards in every classroom, built an ICT lab, a library, a science lab and a futsal hall, and started working with outside organisations so our standards are checked by more than just ourselves.

Our vision
To be a real place for true teaching and learning, where every child leaves with a sound education and a settled character. We want our students to be known for how they behave, not only for the grades they carry.
Our mission
To teach the national curriculum properly, and then go further with project work, presentations, field visits and competitions. To keep class sizes workable so a teacher knows every child by name, and to talk to parents before a small problem grows into a big one.
Our values
Creativity, integrity, respect and self discipline. These four words are not decoration on a wall. They decide how we run assembly, how we handle a mistake, and how we speak to a child who is struggling.
How we teach
The textbook is where we start, not where we stop
A child can pass an exam without understanding much. We have all seen it. So our teaching plan builds in the things that force real understanding: explaining an idea out loud, building something with your hands, standing in front of the class and defending your answer.
Project work in every class
Students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 prepare a project, then present it to their class. They are marked on how well they explain it, not only on what they wrote.
Small group workshops
Difficult topics are taught again in small groups, so a quiet student who did not follow the first time gets a second chance to ask.
Smart boards in every room
Diagrams, maps, experiments and video are part of a normal lesson from Nursery to Grade 12, not something saved for special occasions.
Field visits and educational tours
Junior classes visit sites inside the valley. Senior classes travel further, to Chandragiri, Chitwan, Bandipur, Pokhara, Mustang, Dharan, Ilam and Janakpur, and then present what they learned.

On finishing twenty five years
Supreme Academy is a culturally rich and diverse learning community, and I am grateful to every parent who trusted us with a child.
Dear teachers, staff, students, parents, alumni and well wishers, warm greetings. On behalf of the school I would like to thank all our parents, alumni and well wishers for their constant support in every step we take. Equally, I am thankful to them for entrusting us with the future of their children.
As each academic year draws to a close I look at three things: the board results, the ECA and CCA awards, and the way our students carry themselves. On all three we have had good years. I congratulate our students and extend my best wishes to everyone appearing for the SEE and NEB examinations.
This year we celebrated the 25th school foundation year as our silver jubilee, with a blood donation programme, a parenting orientation session and a district level futsal tournament, among other events for our own students and for other schools.
As an 'A' (Ka) graded school we have added well organised infrastructure and facilities, including a technically well equipped smart board for all classes, a separate ICT lab and library, and a futsal hall. We work closely with all stakeholders to make an already excellent school even better, and we concentrate on meeting the academic challenges of this century.
We have partnerships with CCA Nepal for the ICT digital course, NCMAS for handwriting and abacus, and Shikshya Bikash Sanjal and G8 Edu Forum for yearly centralised evaluations, examinations and different ECA and CCA programmes.
Finally, I wish a very happy, safe and enjoyable session to all teachers, staff, parents, students and well wishers. I look forward to seeing you all with great enthusiasm. Thank you.

How the school has grown

Supreme Academy is established
The school opens at Kamerotar, Madhyapur Thimi-6, Bhaktapur, with the pre-primary and primary classes.
Secondary classes are added
Grade 6 to Grade 10 open so that families do not have to move their children after primary. The first SEE batches follow.
Grade 11 and 12 open with four streams
Science, Management, Law and Humanities begin under the National Examination Board curriculum.
'A' (Ka) grade certification
The school is certified as an 'A' grade institution, and smart boards, an ICT lab, a library and a futsal hall are added.
Silver jubilee, 25th foundation day
Celebrated on Chaitra 18 with a lamp lighting by adviser Prof. Dr. Gyan Kumar Shrestha, a cake cutting, classroom awards, cultural programmes and the graduation of 33 UKG students.
Jubilee year programmes
A blood donation programme, a parenting orientation session and the district level Supreme SEE Cup futsal tournament, with more competitions to be announced.
House system
Janak and Buddha
Every student belongs to a house from the day they join. Houses compete through the year in sport, speech, drawing, quiz and cultural events, and each house takes a turn presenting at assembly.
Janak
Named after the wise king of Mithila. Janak house students take the lead in the house presentations held through the year, and compete in level wise sport and cultural events.
Buddha
Named after Gautam Buddha, born in Nepal. Buddha house students carry the same programme of competitions, from tug of war and futsal to poetry recitation and news reading.
